They used to be strangers.

Friends. Close friends. Best friends that were almost inseparable.

they used to share a couple of things in the beginning; and when they became closer, they shared almost everything from head to toe. There were numerous great memories in them from several places, new stuffs, new experiences and new friends. Those were the days, great time!

However, the usual saying; the longer period you are with a person, deepen the true colors you will be able to see in them.

And then...
Enemies.

Things started to fall apart and gotten so sour. Her heart instantly broken, knowing that she's going to lose the closest friend she'd always have and it seemed like forever they have been together. She learnt the hard and heart broken way. Nothing stays the same forever, like how we humans are, we aged.

Back to square one,
Strangers.

She missed him dearly as a friend. Gone were the days where we can just laughed and talked about anything. Gone were the days where we didn't have to worry about being lonely and finding the right person to hang out with. Just when she thought maybe, there are chances of arranging the broken pieces back. Its always when such thought came to the surface and something would came up and ruin the initial idea. Yet again proved that all they had were just lies. Didn't they promised each other countless time that even if they will never be close friends or how they used to be anymore, the darkest secret they shared will still remain in just them and not leak? LIES.

It is bad enough when a stranger or foes betrays you, but when it is someone you believed to be a close and trusted friend, partner, or spouse, it is especially hurtful. Often times it comes as a surprise, that is why it hurts the most. Humiliated. Despised. That's the exact feelings portrayed out at that moment.

The person you thought you could trust and count on is no longer the person you believed them to be. So you wonder what happened. Were you just wrong about them all along or did something change? Maybe your relationship changed and so did their loyalty to you. Maybe something in either or both of your lives has changed and they became insensitive to you. Or, maybe you both grew apart and in different directions.

I don't know the cause. But sure we know, it bloody hurts.

I've recently finished watching a korean drama title Lie To Me. The narrative story is pretty predictable where the girl and the guy whom used to fight in the beginning, compromise in signing a contract and then ended up being together sweetly. To add on to the usual in a drama, the scene they both met each other will also most unlikely to happen in reality.

However, compared to the other dramas that i have watched, i actually felt way more overwhelming and emotionally after watching this. By watching the guy whom he had performed so well and perfect regardless in career, family or in a relationship; Not to mention he's rich, good looking and the most important part where he has been so deadly romantic actually brought misery to me! (though it isn't real and he's just acting). I doubt any guy in this world could be like him, exclude the rich whom they have the ability to do so, and only counted if they are doing it out of love.

The reason of being so emotional contribute to the fact that knowing deep down in my thought or rather in every girl, we know that the possibility of finding such guy is probably zero, one-in-a-trillion guy. Uh oh, hold on, before any guys out there actually offended with what i said. No offense intended. What i meant was.. going to the extra miles to perform in a relationship.. or being equally super romantic like how they were before or for those who hasn't performed any, start doing now? :/

Most of the time, many guys are willing to strive that extra miles to buy gifts, plan the most romantic dinner and outing or so they claimed, to do whatever they can in order the get the girl they like. But the joy in successfully getting the girl will soon subside and replaced with a monotonous relationship, worse... a break up. The trend of relationship won't usually go far and its predictable, isn't it?

Survive. or. Suicide. Am i quite right?

Perhaps, on the brighter side of life; looking at the recent royal wedding, Miss Catherine Middleton is considered one of the luckiest girl that she met prince William and they had a wonderful romantic ROYAL wedding, like cinderella. Though we couldn't quite determine if prince William is romantic enough since we're only expose to the surface of news every single day. However, this wedding could have added more hopes to many common girls fantasizing that one day too, they might find their prince... or perhaps if they are lucky, another real royal prince?!

Magical Musicals!

It was sweet of someone to have brought me to such a wonderful musical show. Musical shows have always been my all time favorite! Love 'em all especially mamma mia! Ahhh~ *imagining myself watching one of the musical shows in Brisbane theater* Sigh... those were the days. :(

After work on Friday - 4.45pm! He picked me, were stuck in the jam but of course still managed to make it in time! :) Heard of many reviews saying that the musical wasn't that satisfying, but on the contrary, i find it awesome! Was really really feeling yellow after watching it.

Its been a long time since i last went to sunway lagoon! So much memories and "we" were supposed to go when we were 18 years old! :( Time flies and we still hadn't make time for that. Shall we, hamche? ;)

The new theater in sunway lagoon is not so much as i expected. I thought it will be covered and fully air-conditioned. It is covered but considered open air. Thankfully it was raining cat and dog so the place wasn't that hot and humid. In fact, the weather along with the strong wind made it super cooling.

Food Foundry

The night before BERSIH rally, we both went for bff quality time at food foundry. We arrived really late because the jam was so bad (coming back from work) due to road disclosure.

This place is located at section 17. Heard of many ppl saying that their vanilla mille crepes is the BOMB. Sadly, their famous vanilla were all sold out when we arrived. Hence, we tried the mango flavor. It was quite nice too :) (RM10 per price of cake)

In comparison to their desserts, their main course sucks. We ordered the same Aglio Olio spaghetti but both tasted different. Sann's spaghetti was super tasteless and mine super salty. BLUEK. :( We should have mixed both together! GRR. To add on to our misery, the price they charged for the spaghetti don't really worth the value of the money either.

so disappointing. :(

The reason why maybe we pay through our nose is probably cause of the uniqueness concept of the shop:

After we finished our meal, we ran around taking pictures. We were the last customer and were so into our camwhore moment that they actually hinted us by turning off a few lights. Trying to shoo us away but FAIL. Heh. At the end they took our bill to us without us asking for it. :/

Mr.b brought me for a hearty korean dinner around Hartamas. We were confused in which korean restaurant to choose as long as is not the one we went before. When we decided to walk in to this restaurant, only did we knew that it was the same exact restaurant we have been to a year ago, all korean restaurant looks the same to us! :( oh well.... it doesn't matter actually, because nothing beats " madtongsan " -a korean restaurant located in brisbane :(

Taiping Day 2

Basically the next day, we were just searching and eating all the famous food we can find. We again visited the zoo during day-time to see how good it is since everyone recommended it. However, i would too advise first-timer to visit the zoo during day time since it really looks better compared to the night safari. Though the animals displayed will be slightly different.

In the morning, we went to try their so-called mouth-watering "chee cheong fun" advertised in few blogs which to me, wasn't that watering after all. Its just normal sauce and some fried onions on a plain chee cheong fun. I'm not a fussy-food-person to being with, but just curious what are the specialties within it?

Then, we went for the famous popiah which claimed to have been there for almost 30-40 years. This time it tasted quite good. :)

We traveled quite far just to try one of the malay mee called flooded mee. It was out of the town and we even went to another one super far and only to find out.. the shop was closed.down.
like forever and ever.

it was okay.
vary prices with different size of the bowl.
S- rm6, M- rm8, L- rm12.
The price might looked a bit pricey but the prawns they served were quite a lot.
at least 6 in the size S mee.
Good for prawn lovers like me!

our dinner were rather simple and it was cheap.

the meter was so old-school that i swear at one point i didn't how to operate it. :/
We have to use it cause... we gotten a saman the day before. (can appeal, only RM10)
AND, we clearedthe saman in the ZOO.

we were using the gps to track where is the famous biscuit they were selling and it attracted the woman who sold bak kut teh. She said she always saw people traveling and pressing this while they were in her shop previously! And we explained to her where we wanted to go.
She was kind enough to explain to us and i remember the look she gave us when we told her where we wanted to go because the place were quite near. And to her, its really unnecessary to use such devices. Hence, the look! she directed and directed again, explained a few times. Yet we still went back to the same biscuit store which she insisted it wasn't that.

By just spending quality times or hanging out leisurely...

Taiping Day 1

Summary:
We needed a break.
We wanted somewhere not too far.
We wanted to go somewhere we both have never been before.
We decided to go Taiping.

Though we had a very very awful experience in Bidor, We stopped by for their famous duck noodle again. :/

Yumm. I love their herbal soup.
(generally i love all kind of soups! ;))

I love petai too but mostly all the people i knew despise it :/

Continue our journey to Taiping:

Taiping is quite a small town but you might still get lost somewhere because the outskirt of Taiping is quite big and there have small villages around the place. We rely a lot on GPS to get to our destination (tourism places), good food and our accommodation. But so far the good food that the GPS brought us haven't been really satisfying thus we went online to check for these "good food". At the end of the day, many food that were recommended by various online websites / GPS didn't exactly made our mouth watered much.

But one thing for sure is, the food prices they charged are really cheap!

We had a simple dinner and rushed to night safari zoo. Before we made our way there, we had such a hard time deciding if we really want to go for the night safari. It was NOT recommended by a few local people there (including our hotel friendly counter girl and the ticket booth staff herself, can you imagine that! They recommended visiting the zoo day time.). However, because mr.boy hasn't experienced night safari before, we thought we might as well give it a try, it can't be too bad, isn't it?

okay... the night safari indeed wasn't that good. There were trains provided to go around the zoo and they gave a brief, REALLY BRIEF explanation about the animal and didn't really stopped to give us the time to view the animal clearly. So after the train ride, we decided to walk ourselves around the zoo since we paid to have a good look of these animals.

Thank God for baby's iphone who has like the brightest "torchlight" in the world! :P The whole time when we were walking around the zoo, there were hardly street lights at all and the path we were walking were really really dark! You really need a torchlight to guide you around. I got stung by thousand of mosquitoes and was walking in fear because you never know when a human or animal might just popped out, for good or bad cause i don't even know!!

but... surprisingly some of the animals were more active than the daytime. (yes tell me about it, we visited daytime zoo as well, this is how bored taiping is :) )

when we visited this horrible camel, it looked really tedious and scary. It was having white bubbles all covering his mouth and acted really strangely. My boy advised me not to go so close because they might spit like how llama or alpaca does. I laughed it off because i hadn't seen a camel spit before! Just went the camel started to act like a freak again (as though being possessed), my boy suggested that we leave. We left and 5 seconds later, we heard a loud sneeze and EWWWW, large amount of white liquid were spit out. Lucky ME! i was standing so close trying to get a good glimpse at the camel! unlucky CAMEL, it might be sick.

I miss the time how we used to party together few years back and also the time of my life in Australia. Now, looking at the younger ones.. made me felt like i'm some old fart. NOOOO. devastating :( i'll have to party harder before my time is really running out.

Tao Celebration.

Decided to give my boy a surprise for his birthday dinner celebration in Tao's. Pre-booked around 8pm on a Saturday where as usual, will be chock full of people. We were lucky ,or more like I WAS lucky because at that time, the restaurant were having promotion for people whose birthday falls on May; they will get a 50% discount off per head, provided you showed them your IC. Per head is around RM68++.

off we go :)

Tao specialize more on ala carte based buffet where all the good food will have to order through ala carte. They had buffet as well but not much varieties. I think its quite a smart idea doing this through ala-carte so that many food won't be wasted. Food will only be serve when they are ordered. However, its a bit troublesome because you have to order through a waiter and wait for it. But no worries to that! The service in Tao is relatively quite efficient and well-trained, we were served well by the waiters. :)

The food were quite delicious but still prefer Jogoya though ;)

Family Events

A month ago, my uncle and his family came down to visit us during school holiday and brought a baby girl (turning one soon). She's my relative's relative. So i guess, it somehow linked to me as a relative as well!

She's cute, weird and definitely one of the bravest baby I've ever met. She's not afraid of stranger as long as someone she knew is there, doesn't have to be close to her, as long she could see them. I've tried bringing her to my room myself, ended up she started yelling and teared. :( The good thing of all is, she really hardly teared.

She's super greedy when it comes to food. As long is food, she wants it... and she's barely even ONE-YEAR-OLD. tsk tsk. She doesn't like soft toy, she almost pulled out one of my soft toy's eye! She can't even sit still for one second, she just had to crawl all over the places. Her favorite thing to do? climb up and down the bed X1000 times, never get exhausted. PHEW. -_-'' playing with babies can be so tiring..

Mother's day:

We went for celebration in mama's restaurant in Kota Damansara. It wasn't our first time there and the food were good. People who loves spicy food will love the dishes there. However, the price is quite expensive and its my treat that day! Rm300+. Shucks!

We had a very very full dinner at his usual favorite steamboat restaurant (MOMO@Kepong). I remembered the first time i went, i really enjoyed the food. However, having too much of these is definitely not enjoyable anymore. In fact, i felt a little nausea eating it.

Their concept is very much alike with most of the sushi restaurants where their food will circulate around and we can choose whatever we like. Besides that, each of us can have our own pot of soup without needing to share on a usual big pot. I personally think its more hygienic that way, especially if you're eating with people that are not so close.

Having the urge to feel the cool brisk air, we spontaneously decided to take a stroll up on Genting. I've always felt an odd melancholy feeling when i'm up there, it really brought back fkin tons of memories.

We just love doing stupid things together ;)

We were supposed to meet up.. lets say, approximately 2 years ago but never once the plan did go well successfully. And here we are, finally! fulfilling our long-waited date!

That Friday was exceptionally jam where both of us were stuck in the jam for at least 2 hours :/ so we both went dinner around 9 something and chose a somewhat romantic place but... the food sucks!

Basically, the whole night, we were just catching up a lot and taking tons of pictures!

Went for dinner@curve and we spotted spongebob being tortured! poor thing :( Long time ago, I saw a BLACK CJ7 hung near the exos pipe and thus explained the colour. Why why why, i just don't understand! Isn't it better to sleep with it then letting it to catch people's attention and ended up throwing to the trash one day?

Since i started working, I've the tendency to plan for something every weekends to make my life seemed less dull.. and at least looking forward to the weekends! This time we made our way to I-City during earth hour. Last 2 years i still celebrated earth hour when i was still a student, perhaps now time is too crucial that this year i have decided to skip it. Shit, reminding me i'm no longer a student really upsets me! :'(

Made our way to I-city :

Got to admit the place is pretty with all the lights! Entrance fee is rm10 including parking. The ticket can use as a discount to enter the "snow place", 10% or 15% off.

OR you can have another alternative choice to go in to a place around Rm5 and get a discount of paying RM2 only to take pictures with giraffe, elephants, etc decorated with lights! Its a small section where they are just like other decorations, don't understand why we even have to pay for that :/ i can even snapped a picture from the outside! The downside is i can't have a picture of me standing close to it.

We decided to use the entrance ticket for the "snow walk". If you've decided to go beforehand, please wear sportshoes! In that case, you can waive the shoes borrowing fees, where it costs RM10 per pair and another RM10 for deposit. T.T However, the place inside was quite nice compared to Genting! There are definitely more interesting things to see and play here.

With the quite "hideous" coat and a rain boot they provided us.. I could still pull it off but definitely not on HIM.

KK - DAY 3

Making our way to the best day ever ;) where Manukan and Sapi Island have outshone themselves more than I have expected. We woke up much earlier than yesterday fearing we might missed out something again and hope to had all the fun we can before the weather started to be a bitch like every other evening.

The view along the way to the city is quite beautiful ;)

Hopped on another bus to Jesselton Point where they provide boat services to islands. They also provide other things such as snorkeling equipment, life jacket etc for additional RM10-RM20. There are a few companies offering the same package therefore it is very competitive between them. Thus, beware not to be cheated by them and make sure you compare the prices before you really pay for the island packaging you're going to.

After we paid for the package, we noticed that we don't even have any cash in the wallet, literally ZERO. We told them we have to get some cash before we depart. However, they had to leave on time and thus suggested that they will lend us RM100 and we'll pay them back later. We hesitated but eventually we had no choice but to take it. I just felt really insecure knowing that we don't have any money :(

On our way to the island, the sea looks blue from far but actually there are quite a number of rubbish can be seen floating on the sea. Especially water bottles, so unethical.

We made a last minute hasty decision to go for snorkeling and we swam with those fishy fishy!

The man who droves the boat.
He's a really nice guy.
He said to pay the snorkel equipment along with the money he borrowed us.
When we arrived back to the city, we returned him the money we borrowed earlier on, however we were still short of RM20 for the snorkel equipment.
Initially he said its okay he'll waive the fee for that but one of his friend over heard and insisted that he'll accompany us to the bank and take it from us. It was quite a distant to the bank and it was raining cats and dogs.
F*, i hate him! -_-

The island is really really beautiful.

You don't have to learn to swim to snorkel!
But generally i can swim :P

We went to another island- PULAU SAPI. Its something different where they have plenty of corals to see when you snorkel. Its freaking awesome! But be careful not to step on them as they are quite fragile and you might hurt yourself. The corals are under protection anyway. If tourists continue to ruin the corals, the might start banning people to snorkel in that island. Because what we heard was they used to have more corals last time, but in times, many of it were ruined.

We had their so-called famous bak kut teh in KK around 5 smth. It was raining so heavily that we decided to have early dinner and wait for the rain to subside then catch the bus back to the hotel and not coming out anymore.

It was quite delicious but not the best, i would say.

KK Day Trip 2

Getting to Mount Kinabalu is not as easy as we "googled". Apparently, few that stated on the net was : i) We can reach mount kinabalu by public transport. ii) Is only rm2.50 per person. iii) took only an hour to reach.

Well, there are several things that i want and need to correct!

I) there aren't any public transport up to KK, probably in a few years back they might have it, but certainly not when we were there. But, yet again, the public transport might have hidden somewhere secluded where we couldn't find it. :/

II) Even though there are no public transport provided, you can choose to sit the small vans which specifically goes to KK. Its pretty much noticeable because you can see a few vans gathered together and people holding the sign - TO Mount Kinabalu. However, the price they charged wasn't RM2.50! For 2 ways it cost each of us RM30. AND, SIT AT YOUR OWN RISK! You'll know the reason soon :(

III) We did not reached the place within an hour, instead took us around 2 hours. Probably it was also caused by the heavy downpour and super misty weather.

IV) There are nothing much to do in Mount Kinabalu unless you're going for a hike, or else reach there before 3, at least you'll still have a botanical garden to visit, unlike us! :/

It reminds me of Brisbane's countryside. :(

When we arrived there after such a long journey, we were very disappointed as there were practically nothing that fascinated us at ALL. Thus, we just snapped a few pictures since we came all the way up here. RIGHT?

Welcome and Bye Bye in less than ah hour.

Okay, and so we made a deal with the man who drove us all the way up and it seems like we're the only tourist besides the other passengers who live around Mount Kinabalu. We told the man we'd be following him down after he has finished dropping off all of his passengers. (He suggested that as well, seeming like he knew we don't have any other ways to get down). He gave us a time - approximately 5.40pm. Wait in front of the entrance. We were pretty puncture and also we'll not want to miss the van as there aren't any other ways to get down to the city. The only option left was Rm100 for the van provided by Taman Kinabalu receptionist. The van were meant for people who are going to stay there or came with a group of friends. Thus, we came out around 5.30 and hang around at the one and only "mamak" outside.

Tension have not creep-ed in.

We waited till around 6pm and i really started to get VERY panicked. It was drizzling and the mist was bad enough to make you shiver. We had to think of the worst scenario which is to hire the Rm100 van to get back to the city or ask someone in the mamak to give us a ride back down? I really have no idea. Apparently, the workers in the mamak said there will be a bus crossing by around 6.30pm but it wasn't convincing enough to calm me down -_- However, thank goodness, the van came by around 6.30pm with that idiotic smile on his face where i really feel like laying my fist hard on his face! We could have really missed it and stranded there, they weren't being responsible at all, and thats why i said earlier on.. SIT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I was happy to be back in the city!

During night time, we were mentally and physically too tired to get our ass out of the hotel. So we initiate a game by ourselves. The make-up-photography-session! IT WAS FUN! :D At least i get to torture someone physically by drawing on his face to release the tension earlier on. Mwehehehe. Just jk :/

Getting older but none the wiser?

Not long ago, I was still sunk in so comfortably watching dramas in my room in Brisbane, Australia, ignoring the fact that i was very soon to be home and never again going back to live there, at least not anytime soon. I have always enjoyed living there. I love their environment, the friendly people, their culture; Not that i don't love my home country, Malaysia still is a place where i love the good food, family and friends, but maybe.. not so much about the people. Nevertheless, still incomparable with Australia. Safety alone is already an issue. Well, I reckon i'm not the only Malaysian here praising the wonders of other countries.

Now that i'm back in Petaling Jaya, I yearn for Brisbane's rustic charms and their greenery. Although i stayed only 1 1/2 years, the affinity i felt with that way of life has made a lasting impression on me. By contrast, here in KL, people work like crazy and carry on with their lives but all this is done with such composure that one is somehow drawn in and become involved in their lives. There is no time to stop and think. There will never be a time, after a day's work to pause, ppl will laze around and watch the sky turn into myriad colors of the rainbow when dusk falls.

Having to force to leave my adolescent time and stepped into the working world , having no choice but to address myself as an adult, no longer a teenager feels miserable. The total strange surrounding and the obligation to commit myself to wake up early every morning and reach home late at night... totally unacceptable for the moment now. And i think, will i ever be, like all the other adults, to be caught in the rigors of the rat race where relationships tends to get relegated to the background as i often heard of disputes between adults. Being a teenage, relationship around us has already somewhat felt scandalous, what's more about being an adult?

Griefing over the great missing feeling towards my life in overseas hasn't been better, along with the problems i'm gaining from my family and relationship and having to work right now, added more misery and pain that it has naturally puts a lot of pressure on me, i feel like a rubber band, stretched to the limit, ready to snap at any time! However, as fate would have it, a page had turned in my life and there was no turning it back. Now, i am forced to live through it and I hope to learn from this so-called period of storm and stress and emerge a better person from it, like a butterfly coming out from its cocoon. Hopefully as time passes i'll gradually get used to the working life.. It feels like i'm getting older day by day but none the wiser.

Oh well.. Just.. the thought of not having time to savour life feels ever bitter. It felt like once you have started working, people are always racing against time. Everyone is too caught up with his or her life. WAIT. To use the word "life" is not even strictly correct because what is life when there is no time to enjoy it? What is life when, all of a sudden you turn back one day and find you have reached the end?

when i get used to the life now,
and i've less complaints to file,
that will proves that i'm getting wiser.

The very first day.... speechless. Because it felt like we were rushing for the time of our life the whole day.

our flight : 6.50am
we woke up: 4.10am
we missed the kl sentral bus at 4.30am
we pay through our nose for taxi to rush for our flight.

Despite of everything was in a mess, i thank God for letting us board and depart the plane safely!

God is awesome for such view!

and this boy only cares too much to sleep. ;(

Depart 9.20am, full of luggages.. of course go hotel first right?

And we hopped on to this money sucker arranged by the airport to the town's bus-stop to grab the free shuttle bus to tune hotel. The city is like 15 minutes away from airport? (everyone in KK is a money sucker -_- in fact, quite an extreme one.)

However, this taxi is definitely the most "high-class" wannabe taxi i have ever seen, with the concept of limousine and look at those blings! I'm most fascinated :p

We reached the hotel around 10.30am and we can only check-in by 2pm. Its impossible for us to get back to the city because its quite far and we have to cooperate with the timing the shuttle bus provided, sides with our luggage..? *GLUM* !@#$!% In the end, we paid Rm2 each for the luggage for tune hotel to look after... see, like i said! everyone in KK are all money suckers. Luggage also need to charge! We then decided to spend our 3 and the half hour walking in one of few famous malls below in KK. Nothing eye-catching, just like our shopping malls here but of course, ours is BETTER :D

Roaming around for an hour almost killed me already! We had our lunch, we walked like snail, we bitch stared everyone that passed by us... haha jk! 1pm we went back to the hotel and negotiated the time to check in, and the earliest we could get is 1.45pm. -_-" better than nothing. After we checked in, we readied up and made our way to visit Green Connection. less than 10 minutes taxi ride in the city = RM20. -_-

Green Connection is like an aquarium but in their very unique way. Lets put it this way, green connection is nothing luxury like seaword in australia. Personally, i didn't like it from the beginning i stepped into the place. (maybe i'm so used to visiting nice aquariums like singapore, aus and even klcc is better). But is definitely a whole new experience.

and WHY is it so bad?

The water is filthy where you sometimes can't even spot anything; Its muddy everywhere because it was raining; The aquarium is like a big fish tank where ppl rear their fishes at home. We're practically feeding the mosquitoes. The worst thing is that they charges Rm20 pp, a bit pricey for such place. (probably cheap for the foreigners) The place is quite small and we felt foolish rushing for everything because we fear that we couldn't managed to see everything in time since we arrived so late. But apart from that, being positively, at least there were still a few things that caught our attention. [btw! don't get deceive by the brochure around advertising green connection, is never as nice as what it stated inside! the pictures look truly deceiving too!]

I still prefer mantra ray in australia. :)

we finished our dinner and we practically walked as fast as we could to the bus-stop, hopefully to catch the next one. And only to find out that the shuttle bus was full, have to wait an hour for the next one. urgh, FOL. Well, brisk walk after dinner is always good, isn't it? ;)

3 months of self-declared holiday ended just like a sudden rain only lasted for an hour. (THAT FAST!). I am practically still living under my own sweet fantasy world, thinking of holidays, traveling, shopping, etc... But something struck me hard today! It made me realized how cruel reality could be. Having to stuck in the jam for 2 hours after work AND on the first day of work -> ANGER, DEPRESSING, FRUSTRATION, EXHAUSTION.. do me a favor, just name me all the negative emotions you could think of!

On the journey home, i kept thinking... Oh God, what am i going to do with the rest of my life enduring such dreadful jam...?

Opening for The Elephant Restaurant - Hartamas

Our friend - Yang and partners have successfully open a new restaurant -The Elephant located in Hartamas. Its a Thai restaurant and i heard the one near section14 was quite good.

So yeap, we went for the opening and mostly the drink served were all alcohols. We are all going to be alcoholic! :D We even had people getting drunk, at the time of NINE. So unusual but not so unusual as well.... since the watermelons are all soaked in SOJU; watermelon juice were mixed with alcohols; Redbull, green tea with alcohol. The only thing which is pure was YAKULT. So its pretty understandable if someone went down even at the starting of the opening which is 6pm!

Again and again, questions like this always occurred to me :

Why are you going back to daycare again?
Are you doing charity work?

First of all, the reason why i always headed back to visit my previous working place is because i am very fond and felt a slight attachment to the kids over there. Is always something that prompted me to visit them, and sometimes, even overwhelming with what they said to you.
Secondly, this is not a charity work. They are a bunch of healthy and cheerful kids whom all came from a normal family background.

All grown up since the first time i met them - 2 years ago.

And there are a few new faces showing up, most of them are the existing kid's brother or sister.
Just like this little guy in the picture whom is a brother to one of my students.
His brother acts like a gangster and now its inherited by this little one.
Super naughty that will makes you go NUTS.

Still my favorite along these years.
Seeing her going to kindergarten made me feel like tearing.
OH i'm super old. :( DEPRESSING.

Valentines are always overrated, one of my friends said. I somewhat agreed to it. With all the advertisements and flyers promoting around, expensive gifts, flowers business will definitely bloom every this time of the year, adding more grief to people whom are single (not that i'm boasting but i've experienced it b4!) But nevertheless, Valentines still never fails to bring happiness to most people for their hardwork and effort for all the preparation just for that one day. :) However, this year valentines which fall one day before public holiday has been quite nasty to me. The crowd and jam are visible everywhere, most of the restaurants were also fully booked.

We were rather unlucky because the restaurant he booked was closed down suddenly with a sms sent to him, how irresponsible! We hopped around finding for restaurant and chosen to settle down in Craft Brew. I don't know to consider us fortunate or unfortunate because the fact is we're fortunate to get a place in the restaurant, but very unfortunately too, we waited almost 2 hours for our food to arrive.

Upon patiently waiting for our food, we have received complimentary balloons and soup, also they did not charged us for any corkage fees as we brought wine. However, the time we wasted there definitely valued more than the thing we received. :( In these 2 hours, we killed time taking pictures, trying to guess what was the next table conversation was, looking around for a zillion time... We even had waiters apologizing to us constantly about our food not arriving without us complaining. We were told that the waiters will not be able to rush the kitchen as there are limited chef with tons of orders waiting. Sides, there are only 2 waiters working; therefore even asking for a glass of water, took us 20 minutes long.

After few hours, my food arrived first and we waited another 20 minutes or so for his. Thus, enjoying cold food. T.T Thank God that their food was quite delicious. BUT, i wouldn't said it worth my time waiting for this.

Happy Valentines!

Few days later on the 20th of Feb, we were off again to celebrate our second year of being together. I just love sight-seeing! Well, technically, more of he brought me for some visiting because there are nothing much to sight see in KL, right? :/ That's one of the reason why i love being in overseas so much, especially visiting their countryside. Ooh, super love it and super fond to heading back there!

And so here we are in hibiscus farm, nothing really special and there weren't a lot of hibiscus as well. 10 to 15 minutes will be suffice to tour the whole farm and snap a few pictures out of it.

Rm1 per head for entrance fees. So, why not? We wanted to head to the butterfly farm but I personally think their prices are overly charged - RM18 per head where as Malacca's butterfly farm only charged RM 6 or so per person.

One of their technology which is already rather good for Malaysia.
but certainly not up to par with other countries. :/

which results in both of us dozing off inside, as in really sleeping.
Thank God we managed to wake up in time during the credits.

18 years of studying is finally over! You know, i have always thought of how does it actually feels when i have finally completed my studies. Excited? Happy? Upset? Hummph. I guess i'm both excited and upset! Oh well, when i was in primary school, i can't wait to go to secondary school and then i can't wait to go to college. Now when everything is over, i wish i could once again go back to the student life and enjoy "student holidays" and not complaining about how short these holidays will be this time!

Now now, in a blink of an eye, we were all wearing the graduation suit.. waiting for our turn to grab our certificate. AWH.. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO NOW?

We went there early to grab our suits and, of course taking heaps of pictures:

It was kind of upset to accept the fact that i have graduated when i am so not ready to take my steps into the working world. Now, i finally get what you guys meant by appreciating the time of being a student. And shit, i'm already missing every bits of Queensland now :(

I know, people are going to be mad at me for whining about not wanting to graduate when most of them yearn to graduate. But...

Springbrook National Park

After visiting Byron Bay, we quickly made our way to Springbrook, somewhere all of us has never been before! :D The journey to Springbook National Park was so winding and it actually took us quite some time to reach to the top. :(

We first went to the best lookout point (it was stated exactly on the signboard). Out of curiosity, we parked our car and started walking 15 minutes or more inside the jungle as directed. When we reached to the end, there was indeed a splendid view and it all worth the walking and the coldness we were suffering!

Next, we went to the canyon lookout:

Nothing like grand canyon in US, of course.
But the view, still beautiful. :)

Continue, continue and continue on to search for our natural bridge:

a lot of sze's cousin along the journey! :P

We got there finally after spending some time finding our way and thought that we have gotten lost somewhere.

Again, we would have to do some walking in the rain forest before we get to see the natural bridge. It was quite a distance though. >< and we were practically running out of time!

Gold Coast

Decided to take a break in Gold Coast for 2 nights ;)

Woke up super early in the morning and found someone sneaking around in the kitchen:

extremely unwillingly face...

1 hour train ride, 25 minutes bus, spend 20 minutes finding for our accommodation....

finally, finally and finally we get to take a breather and started exploring ( it wasn't my first time there, but this time we were managed to find some good food!)

Q-deck! I must go up before i leave Australia. :(

We found a restaurant in the heart of Surfers Paradise which is located near the ICE warehouse outlet (is a corner shop). They had varieties of lunch deal below $10. The lunch we ate wasn't satisfying sides we were being served by a cranky ill-mannered woman. :/ However, the breakfast buffet for only $10. Pretty worth it and better service without the cranky woman shift. :D This is also the only breakfast buffet in town that open till 12pm. The others only offer till 10am which is super early for us. :P Super filling brunch. Yum.

The haunted house consists of 5 thrilling levels with all the mind bending optical illusions, freaky haunted display, etc. Ticket per person is pretty expensive.

Lantern Festival + Max Brenner

Last year, Sze and I didn't get to celebrate lantern festival and it was the first time throughout our life not having to eat mooncake during mooncake festival. :( but this year! We were fortunate enough to have someone brought over few mooncakes thousand miles away for us to celebrate mooncake festival.

unfortunately, mooncakes with egg yolk are not allowed to bring into australia.

We have to sneak up to our rooftop in order to play the lanterns. WHY.
Last year, there were no rules set or cctvs installed above but recently, our agent has installed two new cctvs. We are not allowed to access to rooftop after 6pm and the reason is most likely to prevent the whites party upstairs. Hence, explain the sneaking part.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Welcome to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary!

Personal preference; not as nice as i expected.

The place was big but not many things to see besides the few usual "Aussie" animals such as koala, kangaroos, wombat, dingoes, etc. Their concept of the place is very much alike with Koala Lone Pine Sanctuary except the fact that Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has a mini train that drives around the whole park.

The journey from Brisbane to Currumbin took us around 2 hours plus to reach there. SUPER LONG!

Bought our e-tickets- 36Aud (concession price) per person, save us the hassle to queue up.

We were quite disappointed because we missed a few shows in the morning where we won't get to see pelicans feeding and also a close up session with the crocodiles.

Kangaroo feeding point:

Kangaroos here are much lazier compared to the ones in Koala Lone Pine. We were restricted to feed the ones resting on top of the small hill (there were tons of them!) and all of us were only allow to access to the one below. Many of them has fed them and we have troubled finishing our kangaroo food. Hence, we fed all kinds of animal like birds, ducks and even emu. -_-

One Month Ago - Where The Merriness Started

2.30am in the morning, two crazy (....actually one only... :P) girls gave up their sleeping time and started drawing a welcoming cardboard for their dear ones. ;) Having to wake up around 5am somehow drew our sleepiness away knowing that we don't have much time to rest. But we did managed to nap for a bit before we adjourned our 2 hours journey to Cooloongatta Airport.

We're both good "recyclist"!

5.08 am in the morning:

At least is not pitch dark, sky starts to turn bright around 4am here.
